Hobbes wanted to fight this thought with one of his own that says that the key difference in dreaming and waking life is that dreaming will have absurdity. Waking life with not has absurd moments in it. And that is one of the main ways you are able to distinguish one from the other. Also, Locke talked about how real pain and dream pain almost go hand in hand. He says that we cannot have physical pain in a dream if we do not experience that pain at least once in our waking life. The third question is, what would not happen if you did make that change? “Understand what they lose if they achieve their goal” And the final question is, what would not happen if you did not make that change? “Identify hidden perspectives and feelings.”All of these questions can be used for dream interpretation.
