Describe Stoinson Beach
Stinson Beach has captivated me and is one of my favorite Beaches in the San Francisco Bay area. This mesmerizing beach is one of the first beaches I traveled to when I moved to the Bay area four years ago. Now I visit every year, my summer isn't complete until I've played hooky and drove up to Stinson Beach.
While Stinson Beach is one an hour away from Oakland, the scenic drive alone is worth the trip. During the last leg of the drive, you'll be driving on a two lane road on a cliff. The epic view of the mountains together with the redwoods are breathtaking. Along the road, there are several places to

Located just southwest of St. Louis, and 2 miles east of Eureka in an old flood plain used for farming, lies a ghost town called Times Beach, Missouri. Originally being marketed as a summer hideaway, one could purchase a 20 x 100 ft. lot for $67.50 in 1925 and even receive a six-month newspaper subscription. After the Great Depression and gas rationing during World War II, the town became a small community of low-middle-class economic citizens. In 1983, due to a dioxin contamination that was widely covered by the national media, the town’s citizens were completely evacuated, becoming the largest civilian exposure to dioxin in the history of the United States of America (Leistner, 1995). Two short years after the evacuation…

After Big Sur and spending the night in Pacifica we went further north to San Francisco. When we spent the night in Pacifica our hotel was right near the ocean. It was such a beautiful view to wake up to. I just absolutely love the sound of the ocean. In San Francisco we went over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a pretty cool thing to see with the views of San Francisco and the ocean. We then went to the park across from the Painted Ladies. The Painted Ladies are the houses that appear in the background of the opening of the original Full House series. It was an awesome thing to go see as I grew up watching Full House and will still watch it from time to time. Once we were done at the park we went to the San Francisco Giants stadium. Although…

Coastal management is the practice of preservation and prevention of destruction to the marine and land environment including grasslands, vegetation, sand dunes, residential housing and landscape. Many strategies are used to protect the coastal area such as a sea bee wall to counteract wave destruction, sand dune revegetation to regenerate growth or construction of rock pools and rocky platforms to avoid coastal erosion. All three of the management tactics are used at Cronulla Beach, which is an extremely popular Australian hotspot for residents, tourists and the general public. Without the management strategies being utilised, destructive waves can erode cliffs where residential complexes have been built and the impact of storms will cause…

Harbor Dunes Golf Course was recently honored as one of the top public golf courses in South Carolina. Harbor Dunes targets the upper end golf market and in the peak spring golfing season, charges fees of $160 per person and golf cart fees of $20 per person. Under their current plans, Harbor Dunes is able to sell a maximum of 20 afternoon tee times. Harbor Dunes was able to sell every morning tee time available for every day last spring golf season, but had trouble selling the afternoon tee times. To prevent this from happening and revenue being lost, Harbor Dunes is trying a tactic that other courses use, which is to offer foursomes that play in the morning the option to play in the afternoon at a reduced green fee of $25 plus cart fee, or $50 plus cart fee.…
