My role as an administrator in creating an operational budget will be to regulate the clinical and business operations of the facility. Creating a budget will assure that the hospital is running efficiently in compliance with the state regulations and the hospital policies. An operational budget will give me a better understanding of the current situation of the hospital. I will have to create detailed budgets to give me projections and to know what is impacting the facility. Establishing each departments workload will show me volume and it will help me identify controllable expenses.
