What type of food do you like to eat: home-cooking, Mexican, seafood, Chinese, American, etc.? What if you could get all of these delicious varieties of food at restaurant? My itinerary for this weekend was to spend time with my family at a local restaurant or so I thought, but my mother had other plans. Although Ryan’s, is one of my family’s favorite buffets that we would usually would eat at, this weekend my family and I are trying another buffet, Golden Corral. Even though Golden Corral was a distance away, it had an extraordinary homey feel, immaculate service, delicious varieties of food, and all for an excellent price. Speaking for my whole family, I would say Golden Corral is our new favorite restaurant.
Although we weren’t going to any local restaurant for our family meal, I was excited about traveling the distance to Golden Corral. When we arrived to Golden Corral all I could see was a multiple array of cars wrapped around a tan building with a big neon red sign reading Golden Corral. I peered through the back window of my parent’s car looking for an available parking spot, but all I could think about at this point was my social anxiety from all the people that must be inside this place. Surprisingly, after a few seconds of entering the crowded parking lot we had found a parking spot right at the entrance of Golden Corral. As my mother, my father, and I walked toward the entrance we noticed two older gentleman standing in front of the glass double doors eager to greet us.
Golden Corral’s extraordinary homey environment definitely surpassed that of Ryan’s buffet. Walking through the entrance, we were immediately greeted by a cheery red head young man with a white button up long sleeve shirt and midnight black apron on; he proceeded to ask us what are beverages would be, with a big enthusiastic smile that would make anyone feel right at home.
