Diagnostic Forensic Case Study
Per your request, Diagnostic Forensic Solutions™ has assigned two of the finest forensic scientists at our disposal to this case; Danielle Criswell and The Omnipresent Potato. To analyze the evidence provided, our scientists ran a DNA Comparison, a Glass Analysis, and an Impression Analysis. According to the DNA Comparison, neither Mr. Hatfield’s blood nor Mr. McCoy’s blood matched the samples collected from the crime scene. It should be noted that Mrs. Hatfield refused to give a DNA sample to investigators. The Impression Test also gave us somewhat unclear results. It indicated that the shoes worn at the crime scene were men’s size 10 Nike, and Mr. Hatfield owns such a pair of shoes. However, this in and of itself is not conclusive. The Glass Analysis confirmed that the glass around the car was all from the shattered windshield. Based on this evidence, we can exonerate Mr. Hatfield and Mr. McCoy as the drivers of the vehicle. We would recommend a Toxicology Analysis and Fingerprint Comparison to …show more content…
Mrs. Hatfield is the most likely suspect in this, since she admitted to passing the dog table scraps when her husband was not in the dining room, although it is also possible that she could have threatened her. She opened the door for the dog, and started the car. Mrs. Hatfield likely returned to the house after the car exits the driveway. Determined to frame Mr. Hatfield for insurance fraud, Lady Geneva von Hindenburg smashed the car into the tree; knowing that Hatfield would accuse Mr. McCoy of this act and and attempt to receive a large insurance payout. However, she did not foresee injuring herself and leaving blood evidence at the scene, which is why she (along with Mrs. Hatfield) did not provide a DNA sample at the request of police investigators. Lady Geneva von Hindenburg then fled the scene, leaving the footprints of Mr. Hatfield’s shoes all around the scene of the

Edward Blake performed final test using more current and more precise sort of DNA testing known as PCR-enhanced DNA testing on the gloves from victim’s car. PCR-enhanced DNA testing was done on semen stains found on the victim’s clothes, and the outcomes demonstrated that the specimen did not originate from Yarris, but it came from two unknown guys. PCR-enhanced DNA testing was then done on scrapings found under the casualty's fingernails, which uncovered that the scrapings were from the "regular user" of the gloves. He was released in 2004 after DNA prove at long last cleared him after specialists tried his blood for a conclusion. DNA fingerprinting is one of the most important and revolutionary invention. It helps to convict crooks, excuse the wrongly blamed, and distinguish casualties of wrongdoing, debacles, and war. Due to these technologies we don’t have to rely on eyewitness and this prevent wrongful conviction because it is a huge arrangement to have your life detracted from you and forced to spend time in prison or perhaps jail when it's something you didn't do. DNA is very reliable source; it not only helps Nicholas Yarris but many others like him who were wrongfully…

They could try and state that she did not poison Mr. Navidad because she was not the only one that had the opportunity. We used her surveillance footage times being off as a point of her lying. They could say she just forgot the exact times. They could say she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her fingerprints were not at the crime scene. Ms. Brown’s hair was found there o why not accuse her of the murder. Even though the defense team might have had some arguments I can fight back and respond to all of them. We did a forensic test to prove that only Mrs. Mulroy could have poisoned him because she was the only one that had the opportunity to have put the poison in the cola. The test came back negative on the ice cubes so that ruled out Ms. Brown. Yes she could have forgotten but she left out major points in her interrogation trying to throw us off. She had a motive to kill him. She did have a meeting with him to give her an opportunity to kill him like she had planned. We did not run a DNA test to prove that any kind of hair material or DNA found. That is her office so of course her hair is in her…

As I, Klaudia Hoxha (forensic technician), approached the crime scene on February 24th, at 9 am at the residence of Ruth and Archie Lunsford, on South Sonata Avenue, Homosassa, Florida. I noticed a six inch by six inch L-shaped cut in the screen door by the door handle. The home was trace evidence vacuumed and latent prints were taken. I searched the area around the residence, including three outbuildings and the underside of the mobile home. My team and I looked for any signs of hiding places or disturbed dirt. After the Lunsford's Home, On March 14th, a search warrant was needed to search the home of Couey, a suspect in this case. I went to the trailer and photographed and processed Couey‘s trailer on Snowbird Court. I then collected several…

The Rav-4 is one major piece of evidence in this case. Andrew Colborn ran the tags of Teresa’s car before it was ever found by the search crews. The only way this is possible would be that Colborn had the car in his possession. Blood was also found inside the car. This blood belonged to Steven and also Teresa. This doesn’t make sense because the only open wound Steven had was on his finger, but there were no finger prints on the car that belonged to Steven. This would mean he would’ve been wearing gloves, which means there would be no way for his blood to get onto the car. Also, prosecution proposed the story that Teresa was killed and then burned in the fire pit behind Steven’s house. If this story is true, how would her blood be found in the back of her own car? The only reasonable answer to this would be that her body was moved from one location to another after being…

In this case media divulged the physical evidence, but the FBI privately profiled the killer(s). Assumptions of the killer dropping the next body in a river to deplete evidence, the police and FBI officials staked out the James Jackson Parkway/ South Cobb Drive Bridge over the Chattahoochee River.
