Diego's Childhood Observation

Diego is an 8-year-old boy, Latin-American, living in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago. He is in 3rd grade at Morton Elementary School. His mother is from Venezuela and his father from Mexico. Diego`s parent met when his mother went to Mexico because her job. They had a relationship for two years, and then his mother got pregnant. Before that, everything was perfect but after the pregnancy something wrong became between his parents. Diego`s father was so aggressive to his mother all the time. He hit and yelled her all the time, also he controlled her money and her calls. Diego`s mother suffered a lot during her pregnancy, she cried, was nervous, and sad all the time. After Diego´s born his mother could run away, and move to Chicago losing any Diego`s father trace. Six months later Diego`s
Diego is very smart but because his speech problems, he has been having some difficulties to develop social relations. Diego does not have many friends, just two or three, and does not want to go to the school because he was being bullied. He is very distress in social situations and avoids many situations such as the break in the school. Diego`s mother receives several calls from his school because Diego feels chest pain, headaches, choking, stomach pains, nauseas, vomits, or diarrhea, and she has to go to pick him up. Diego prefers to be at home, he feels that it is his temple. He really wants to be accepted by his classmates and to have many friends but he is rejected by them. Diego has some thoughts about to be a normal boy, he suffers a lot because children of his age do not want him. For these reason, Diego wants to be alone, playing video games and reading some books. When his mother tries to distract him, he is anger, nervous, irritate, and impatience. Diego has a difficult childhood, he is not happy, his face is sad all the time.
