“White wines are the most acidic, meaning they're the worst for your teeth. In addition, whites contain far less of the heart-healthy and cancer-preventing antioxidants than reds do, and have about the same amount of calories.” (Shy, 2016) White wine also contains lectins that come from the grapes being fermented to create it. These lectins are a protein that is difficult to break down because they can resist digestive enzymes and stomach acid. Wine is also associated with the elevation of triglyceride levels. The elevation of triglyceride levels is a cause of diabetes in humans. Beer on the other hand prevents type 2 diabetes. Red wine also has been a cause of increasing the risk of death and diseases. “Drinking a lot of wine, even only 1–3 days a week, may increase the risk of diabetes in men. High alcohol intake has also been linked with an increased risk of premature death” (Bjarnadottir, 2017) These negative things that wine brings to the body can very harmful over time. No one want to increase the risk of premature death. We all want to live long healthy lives. This is why we need to stick to beer. Dehydration comes from the lack of being able to discharge everything you drink through urination. Your liver needs water to flush out the rest of the liquids in your body and properly maintain water levels. While your liver needs this water, it pulls water from different organs in the body to fill up the lack of water in your body you get from drinking beer. This is where the feeling of a hangover comes into play. When your liver pulls water from different organs, it causes the feeling of headaches and other symptoms you get during a hangover. Beer isn’t the only alcoholic beverage that gives an individual’s hangovers. Wine definitely does the same thing by giving people hangovers. Too much wine will dehydrate you as well, so let’s just add that negative to the wine side of this battle. Now it’s time to tell you beer is definitely healthier than
