Different Types of Love
The different types of Love

It’s in the human nature to love. Love is more than just a feeling or a sort of action. It’s a mental happening and it’s built into our minds. We feel love most of the time. Love is a fragile and evanescent mechanism.
There are several different types of love. Quite a few of them can evolve into a different kind. There’s the kind of love you feel for your family and other relatives. A love that is more based on needs than actually loving the people for who they are. Many people describe it as the most important love you have. That family will always stay beside you and help you in times of trouble. It’s different between each family member. There’s a special bond between a mother and her daughter and another special bond between a father and his son. The love between siblings is extreme. Even though they fight and struggle to agree about simple things, they love and protect each other.
Another kind of love is friendship. You love the other person for their personality and you love spending time with them. It’s sort of like family. You will be there for each other in times of need and will comfort you if you’re miserable. A friendship is also very fragile. You can get into a fight and then you might stop talking. Sometimes you make up and become friends again, but maybe the friendship is over and there’s no way to save it.
Sometimes friendship evolves to something more. I’m talking about romantic love. Romantic love is many things, but every one of them involves wanting a romance with the specific person. When you fancy someone it’s not that serious and it might just be a simple fascination. It’s only temporary and might not even last more than a week. Sometimes you fall in love with a person within short time and you want to begin a relationship with them. You can’t stop thinking about them and you might even lose your appetite and get insomnia. Perhaps the other person feels the same thing and you start a relationship together.

What is love? I never knew until I was fourteen year old at my first horse show. My family has always told me that when I loved someone or something unconditionally for exactly what it was without expecting anything in return, and when I was away from whatever I loved I would feel like something was missing, and only then would I truly understand love. At that first horse show I understood what they told me. For me my first horse show changed my life, it made me feel so alive and I never wanted to leave. Everyone has their own definitions of love but mine is for a series of events and is much different from the typical "love" that most people understand.…

I, personally, only have firsthand knowledge of familial and friendly love. From these experiences, I have learnt that love is when my mom hugs me after a bad day, love is when my best friend and I spend seven hours talking on the phone, love is when my brother and I burst out laughing in the middle of a fight. Meanwhile, although, I have no idea what it feels like to be ‘in love’ with someone, I know it’s love when my dad cooks my mom’s favorite meal when she’s sick or when my grandpa paints my grandma’s toenails because she can no longer bend over due to her arthritis. In more general terms, I feel…

People can have romantic love, as much as it sounds gross, it’s true and others will someday have romantic love. People can have friend love. Friend love is actually really special. Say someone has known a boy for a very long time, and they consider him as their best friend, they may sometimes say you love him as a friend. Another one is family love. My personal opinion is that family love is the best love there is. Sometimes people have to be very careful what they do and say to their family members. Before Rachel went to school, she got in a huge argument with her brother and those were the very last words that he ever said to her before her death. People never know what could…

My family may not always express our love with the simple words of “I love you”, but the actions and the small things they say motivate me to become a better person and to keep working harder. For those who I am not close with who show me love and admiration, it makes me happy knowing that somewhere out there, there is someone who appreciates me for who I am and what I do. Lastly for love with a significant other, this is a love where it hurts and feels the best for most people. People feel happiness, excitement, joy, sadness, pain, burden, and so much more with this type of love. A feeling of betrayal and pain, like in the poem, “She has almost, killed me with, love for that boy”.…

However, we want nothing of its dark side and demand that it always hides its flaws. Nonetheless many of us are unprepared for the battles that the heart must be willing to endure in order to take on the emotion of love. Many people fantasize about what it will be like to fall in love and dream about their perfect match. Individuals spend their whole lives so fixated on the love that they might one-day experience that they often forget about the love they are surrounded by every day.
