Digital Business Strategy Used By Migros
As it is derived from the Table 1, all the dimensions of the digital business strategy are affected by the current digital resources used by Migros. Some of them are affected more some others less but all of them are affected at a relatively high level so that the business goals, vision, targets and objectives to be achieved in the best possible way. The main of them are to be the closest they can to the customer, to perform in a very high level of efficiency and effectiveness, to satisfy the customer needs in the highest level that they can, to grow their market share and increase profitability at the highest possible level. The concept of IT is seen as a value center for Migros and its strategy. The IT resources play a significant role and are leveraged on an enterprise - wide basis. The enhancement of business processes is always on the main focus of the application systems, in order a sustainable competitive advantage to be obtained. Therefore, in order the Migros to climb to the fifth level of the IT alignment maturity ladder it needs to extend the reach of the organization outside the organization via IT resources (supply chain of customers and suppliers) (IT …show more content…
All the aforementioned aspects should be kept in mind in order the focus of suggestion to keep all these aligned so that finally to enable Migros to climb on a better level of IT maturity and increase market growth and share.
We believe that the main focus of Migros should be primarily on the scale dimension and secondarily on the other ones. This is because the basis of Migros business strategy is profitability. Profitability is also the focus of the scale dimension of the digital business strategy. Consequently, in order to keep this two aligned together and to get the most out of them Migros should focus on the scale
