Since returning from Iraq in 2010, I have been alerted by my husband not breathing during his sleep. This situation persists to this date and is a nightly occurrence. Usually, I will nudge my husband so that he will start breathing again. Even though it is not medically relevant to nudge, it’s the only reaction I have to his abnormally long pauses in breathing.
Along with the fragmented pauses in breathing during the night, my husband also experiences – in my own words – night terrors, sleep-walking, and sleep disturbances. Sleep disturbances happen the most frequent, followed by night
