I am writing to express my own opinion and disaffection about young people changing their job frequently. I am going to describe the situation of teenagers change their job as often as they change clothes nowadays and talk about the consequences of it.
As an employer, I think this problem is becoming more and more serious now. I have experienced that a teenager stay only two weeks in my company as a sales clerk, I even arrange some well-experienced staff to help her adapt to our company’s operations and guide her in daily job. The most terrible is that I have employed a 20-year-old teenager who just works for 3 days only! Also, in some inter-company meetings, I have heard some company owners said that they had also faced similar situation. I think this phenomenon is ridiculous, we seldom meet teenagers who change their job frequently before.
This situation brought influence to employers, we lost confidence to young workers after meeting such immature teenagers. We need to pay higher salary to hire people who are more mature and spend more time in finding steady and suitable workers. Quitting job suddenly will affect company’s operation because it is hard to find new people to pick up job in a short period. We were suffering the influence because of those unripe teenagers and we are now not target young workers in employment anymore.
Teenagers also suffer consequences, since employers feel disappointed and doubtful with young workers, they will find that they are more difficult to find job. Young people get a lower priority in getting a job compare to a mature worker. Teenagers are no longer our first target in the employment advertisement now. Also, it is not beneficial to find job if the employer finds they had been changed lots of job before. The record of continue jumping in various companies will give bad impression for them while applying for a new job. Employers will have a query with young people in their
