Discover Music from your own Heritage My family has heritage all over the world, but an interest to me would be my great grandma who was from Russia. My grandpa’s mother emigrated from Russia when she was nine years old. I have been told my great Grandma Mary, who I never got the chance to meet because she passed away before I was born. Even people who had little to no experience of this musical genre, ‘The Five’ moved many people, by modern renditions of their work that they composed. This influential group of classical composers consisted of Mily Balakirev, who was often known as the leader of the group, Alexander Borodin, César Ciu, Modest Mussorgsky the one that was called the ‘unruly genius,’ and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, who was one of the most famous of the members in recent times. I can educate people about my family heritage if it ever comes up.
