• The brain controls all bodily functions through the nervous system it is the main unit and connects to the rest of the body by nerve cells. .
• The nervous system cannot function independently it needs blood, oxygen and nutrients brought to the skin through blood vessels by the circulatory system, to make it function.
• The autonomic nervous system controls the blood vessels, sweat glands and the sebaceous glands in the skin.
• The central nervous system controls and receives sensory signals from the skin for example, temperature and pain. If the body becomes too warm or cold the central nervous system tells the body how to react.
