Three Ways The Mind And Body Communicate Biologically
The mind and body communicate biologically in three ways. Those three ways are autonomic nervous system (ANS), endocrine system and the immune system.

The autonomic nervous system is a group of nerves that control anatomical processes like the heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and the functions of the gastrointestinal, sweating and elimination. These things that are happening in our bodies right now without us knowing about it. We definitely wouldn’t have control of any of these, except for blood pressure. Blood pressure can be helped by watching what is consumed in the body. ANS gets its name from the fact that its activity does what it does without it being told. Dopamine: increases pleasure and motivation but decreases sadness.

Oxytocin: increases trust and feeling of being clingy but decreases fear.

Vasopressin: increases sexual arousal and attention but decrease anxiety.

Serotonin: increases aggression and obsessive thoughts.

The immune system is the last of the ways the body and mind communicate biologically. The immune system can be impacted by the nervous and endocrine systems. Immune cells react to the presence of cortisol as part of the stress response. Affecting the nervous and endocrine systems, the immune system releases special chemicals called cytokines. The immune system can be affected by the mind. Stressing and negative and stressful mood swings can weaken the immune system. Calm, peaceful, happy and optimistic feelings can strengthen immune function.

The mind and body can communicate in many ways. The body can even communicate with the mind by telling if the person is hungry, sleepy, thirsty, tired. Learning about the body is the one of the best ways to understand on an internal level of how it actually
