Disney And Robin Hood Comparison Essay
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Disney’s Robin Hood are drastically different, but there are some elements that both movies share. Some of the differences between the movies include Robin Hood’s companion, the main antagonist, and the mood of the story. Some of the similarities between the two movies are the characteristics of Robin Hood, the time period, and the location. All of these similarities and differences come together to make two distinct movies based on the same story and character. In Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Robin Hood is accompanied by an African American Muslim named Azeem. However, in Disney’s Robin Hood, Robin Hood’s main companion is Little John. In this version, Little John does a lot more for Robin Hood than Azeem did for Robin Hood in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Azeem was based off Nasir from Robin of Sherwood, a British television series. However, the character of Azeem is not very historically accurate, considering there probably weren’t very many African American Muslims in England during this time period.
Another difference between the two movies is the villain. In Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the Sheriff of Nottingham is the main antagonist. In Disney’s Robin Hood, the Sheriff of Nottingham only collects the taxes. He takes orders from Prince John, who is the biggest villain in the movie. Lastly, by far the

There are many things about Disney’s Robin Hood that separates it from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. They appeal to different crowds and they each have their own twists on elements of the story that make them unique. Although, the writers of each movie did keep some components true to the original story, which makes the two movies similar. Both of the movies were original and interesting in their own ways. It was fascinating to watch and analyze the similarities and differences between the two

Since the two are very different, I will tell you 3 differences and similarities that I noticed. One difference was Mr. Shuan, an important character, wasn’t even in the movie! He had killed Ransom and that helped Davie escape. Another difference is that Ransom didn’t die in the movie, or at least not the original way. We saw him on the boat before it blew up in the movie, in the book he died in the hull. My last difference is that The Long Mile Gang didn’t exist in the book. Some evidence that proves the flick wasn’t crazy wrong were (1) Alan did wear a blue coat…

There are many differences and similarities between the book and movie. The Lightning Thief is both an astounding book and movie. One of my favorite things that was in the book that wasn’t in the movie, which disappointed me, is Grover being dragged away towards Tartarus. Now, I did enjoy the fact they put in the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee to add more action and adventure to the movie, though it wasn’t in the book. I am glad that Luke stayed the lightning thief or else the movie and book would have been nothing alike in my…

There are many differences and summaries between the book and the movie the coronals of Narnia the lion, witch and wardrobe. For example; “In the movie, they crossed that river (jumping over ice bergs, Megrim confronting them on the river, etc), while I'm pretty sure that in the book they didn't cross it, but walked along it or something... can't fully recall. Also, I'm pretty sure in the book they were only confronted by Megrims once after Edmund betrayed them (when Peter fought him), but in the movie there was also the aforementioned confrontation on the river.…

The legend of Robin Hood has been around for nearly one thousand years. For the past several hundred years, Robin and his Merry Men have been known for stealing from the rich, particularly tax collectors, and giving to the poor; however, because this is still stealing and Robin had also killed at least one of the king’s deer, Robin and his men were known as outlaws. While they may have been outlaws, Robin Hood and his Merry Men were more like knights in the way that they dealt honorably with opponents in battle, defended the weak and helpless, and protected women and children.…
