Disney's Hercules: What Is A Hero?
What is a hero? When thinking about it, every definition is different. According to Dictionary.com a hero is “ A man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for brave deeds and noble qualities”. In American society, for someone to be a hero they need to have two traits, strength and be willing to do brave acts. The Greek society views Heros the same way. The Greeks value strength and braveness.

Disney shows what the Greeks value for someone to be called a hero through their character Hercules. Here is a little background on Hercules, he was born to the Greek God, Zeus but Hades, the God of the underworld, made Hercules mortal taking everything but his strength. Hercules uses his strength, like many heroes do, to overcome battles. One
