Growing up children in this situation tend to feel that everything is fine, however, they still have the fear of it all ending. “The happier they were, the better their life, the better their job, the better their love life, the better their relationship, the better their children, the more frightened they became that they would lose it” (“Divorce has a lasting Negative Impact”). They also have the trouble of having a relationship with a partner, because many children that have been in the middle of a divorce are unsure of how to show affection with another human or know what to find in a person for a relationship. Many adults whose parents are divorced, while they were young don't know how to show affection. Where normal parents might hold hands or kiss, many divorced parents lost the love for eachother. The expected type of love that the child should have seen was replaced with either hate or no contact whatsoever. So while adults kissing and touching another seems natural, many adults whose parents divorced find these action uncomfortable, making it hard to have loving relationship with someone.(“ Divorce has a Lasting Negative …show more content…
