Do women have more stress and handle it better than men?
Abstract
To find out how organizations could benefit from giving the right support to help their employees manage stress both work and non-work related. Focusing on how different gender handles stress differently, this insight understanding is essential in order to find the right tools. Data from survey and other reliable sources were used to determine gender-specific relationships between stressors, stress, stress management methods and the outcomes in working adults in Thailand. The results showed that most stress are work related and women are more likely to stress than men and that women somehow could handle stress better. For organizations to improve the work environment and provide work/life balance to employees, these positive approaches are acceptable for any gender.

Introduction
A model of Stressors, Stress, and Outcomes suggests that the relationship between external stimulus that triggers stress and the stress response may vary depending on individual differences such as age, gender and personality. These stress moderators also play an important role in the relationship between stress and its outcomes. Stress is part of everyday life and could happen to anyone but since everyone has a unique response to stress, there is no “one size fits all” strategy to managing it.
In an organization, managers may need to experiment with different techniques & strategies in order to provide best-fit stress prevention and stress management supports, which could result in better work performance of the employee and could lead to a more profitable overall of the company.
