Do you know what it means to be an American.Freedom, honor, and patriotism is what it means to be an american.
First of all the whole idea of being an American revolves around freedom. The greatest freedom we have is freedom of speech, it allows you to express yourself in ways never even imagined. We as Americans can be what we want and do the job we want. Nevertheless as an American you can do as you wish if you want to build a 50 foot statue build one. In my opinion, freedom is a very wonderful thing that you should take full advantage of because not everyone in the world has freedom. As an American it is right to honor the men and women who fought to make this whole idea of freedom possible. On veterans day you should honor and make it
a point to thank veterans even if you don't know them. Americans should also support the men and women who are still fighting today for our freedom so you can achieve an education and do as you wish. Lastly, you should stand for the national anthem, pledge and put your right hand over your heart to show respect because if you don't respect that then why are you an American. My thoughts is If you as an American can’t respect and honor this it's like going against everything we as a free country stand for. Finally the most important thing that makes you an American is being patriotic towards your country. First of all to be patriotic you should celebrate all holidays like the 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day. Another way to be patriotic is to fly the American flag, wear red, white, and blue, or even just play a patriotic song. Then finally best way is to put your hand over your heart take off your hat and stand for the National Anthem, and show respect for this wonderful free country we live in America.
