In everyday lives, individuals engage in music, associating with various emotional behaviours such as immerse in memories and relaxation. (eds. Juslin et al. 2011) This shows that the purpose of music listening will be different for each person and the chosen music would be according to the emotional state a person wish to achieve. (Getz et al. 2014) However, most people nowadays lead a hectic lifestyle and they tend to slowly ignore their internal emotion health. 146 person (53 male and 93 female) of university students with age of 17 to 24 volunteered to take part in the study. The respondents were required to answer a questionnaire about their personal details and music background. The Music in Mood Regulation Scale (MMR) was employed to examine the normal mood control level while the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS) was taken to evaluate the signals of mood disorder. The hypothesis ‘The Score of Mood Regulation Using Music can Forecast the Stages of Emotional Illness in Youth’ is acceptable. The results show that it is possible for music to diversify and worsen mood disorder but normally music is enjoyable by youth for better mood
