Dogs experience many of the same health problems that humans do. They can develop diabetes, heart problems, kidney failure, and obesity. But the most common health condition that they get is constipation. Constipation is when the stools become so hardened that they cannot pass out of the body with ease. If a dog has hardened stools for one or two days, it poses no health risk to them. But if the condition continues for any longer than this, it can cause a bowel obstruction that can be very dangerous to their health. Because of this, it is very important to know what signs of constipation to look for in dogs, what triggers the condition, and how to treat it.
