Dominican Flan Process
Name: Anny Demoya Mode: Process
Class: Eng-068-32g Date: 10/27/2010

I love making Dominican flan; it is one of my favorite desserts of all times.
I grew up on it, my grandmother would make one every single week for the family.
I would find it so yummy, and still up to this day I very do so.
It is incredibly easy to make, first you need eight egg yolks, 2.5 cups evaporated milk, and 2.5 cups sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla for caramel, 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup water.
Once you have all of your ingredients together melt the sugar in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add water and stir constantly until a thick, dark caramel syrup forms.
Pour carefully into prepared baking pan and spread

I pkg m&m baking chips. 4 tsp baking soda. Preheat oven to 350. In a very large bowl beat together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, vanilla and corn syrup. Stir in rest of ingredients ( the last four listed ). Drop by TBSP onto cookie sheet. Bake about 12 min ( I usually do 14 my ovens a little slow ). Don't underbake them. I have gotten 95 sometimes out of this batch. Depending on the rolled oats- some brands are thicker than others. And depending on the size you make them. Flatten lightly when you place them…

To do that you will need the bowl you mixed the dry ingredients in, a whisk, 1-¼ cups of milk, 1 egg, and 3 tablespoons of butter. With the bowl you were using, you are going to make a hole in the middle of it with your hands. When you have made the hole add the egg in the hole. Once the egg is inside the hole, add the milk as well (the milk might overflow a little but that it is okay). Then, when you have poured the milk inside the bowl, microwave the butter. Once the butter is microwaved put it inside the hole and whisk everything together (the dry and…

That is not the case today. Just the about the weekend before Thanksgiving, I saw that turkey dinner was on the menu for school lunch. I thought yummy! I went down to the Miller Dining Hall for the turkey Dinner. I went to the front desk and the lady scanned my card. When this person started to tell me about the dreadful turkey dinner. She said, “This is not the " Turkey Dinner" that we had as kids." I just laughed at her thoughts and went in to try for myself. The turkey was a processed chunk of whitish colored meat. This meat was floating in brownish colored gravy. This gravy tasted like it was mostly water with maybe brown food coloring added in. Potatoes are not what this white fluffy stuff tasted like. The food tasted horrible, and the portions were limited.…

During my childhood, my family indulged in weekly events. Those weekly events included candy yams, macaroni and cheese, even the choices of gumbo. You could smell the curled cheese to the wild funk-ti-fied seafood. The smell fulfilled my plump stomach. How could you say no to the choices you are offered? I could not say no and I did not. I even had second a plate after 15 minutes from my first plate. I was still hungry and the food could not go to waste, it does not deserve to go into a dumpster or ate for left overs. The worst part of these family shindigs where that each time I made my plate and…
