Don T Panic By Coldplay: Poem Analysis

I chose the song “Don’t Panic” by Coldplay because I strongly believe it reflects myself, and my life quite accurately, which expresses my beliefs. The song “Don’t Panic” is a pessimistic/optimistic song that can be especially shown in some lines of the lyrics. The pessimistic side of the song shown by “Bones sinking like stones” expresses that we are all going to go through some sort of suffering that we will have to endure. This line relates to a part of my life as a child living in New York, which was the suffering that my family and I endured caused by the abusive father we had. The abuse caused scars that ran deep in all of us, but those scars were only brief because as a family we had each other. “Cause here, everybody here's got
somebody to lean on” is a line in the song that I go by in my life because as a family we lean on each other for comfort and support, and considering that we didn’t have much and all we had was each other. This is my personal belief that the most important thing that anyone can have is family because in my case I doubt I would’ve survived through the troubled times without my family. Other than the tragic events that have occurred in my life there were some untroubled things that we did as a family, which can be expressed by the line in the song “We live in a beautiful world” as it is very true that all life is precious, and everything around us is precious because even through the troubled times my family and I had there were some great times in which we all were cheerful. With all of the troubled times and untroubled times “All that we've fought for” best describes how as a family we just survived through everything life had to throw at us, and without each other we wouldn’t have made it anywhere, which goes to show yes, there will be rough times in your life that you will have to endure, and yes, there will be those great moments where you be glad that you are alive, and with others that share that feeling.
