The movie the “Wizard of Oz” was made in the year of 1939. Ever since it premiered, many people instantly fell in love with it and continue to watch it to this day. The “Wizard of Oz” is considered a classic and a must see among all types of audiences. The plot of the film is a girl named Dorothy who lives in Kansas with her family and a dog that she recently found named Toto. A tornado hits Kansas and causes Dorothy to become unconscious. When she wakes up she finds herself in the Land of Oz In the time that she is their she makes three friends, the Tin Man, The Scarecrow, and the Lion that help her fight the Wicked Witch of the West, get to the Emerald city, and finally home. I felt that the Wicked Witch of the West was trying too hard to be evil and over exaggerated her emotions. I also felt that Judy Garland who plays Dorothy tried to hard as well when she exhibited different emotions like sadness, anger, surprise, and happiness that her character had to go through. The locations in the film enhanced the quality of the film because it showed that the film is really creative and original. It also helped to show the use of Technicolor as well. The locations made the movie feel more magical and gave the aspect of being in a completely different universe regarding the real world and that is completely different than Kansas from, from how the movie perceives it. Personally, I did like the ending of the movie the “Wizard of Oz” because it was realistic and blended with the theme of the story well. In the end Dorothy appreciates home, her family, and friends when in the beginning she took them for granted and didn’t care for them as much. I would recommend this film to all ages and all audiences because it has a pleasant plot, decent actors, interesting locations, it has a
