I rested my head back against the cold leather seat ,and told Dr. White to drive to Goldendale Observatory State Park to monitor and analyze the asteroid. After a long six hour drive to Goldendale my eyes squinted to discomfort as light filled my vision. As my eyes adjusted to the brightness I vaguely hear Dr.White’s voice in the background “wake up, wake up we have arrived” he said gently. Once off the vehicle, I was directed into the observatory room. I speculated around and try to hold my intellectually excitement from being baffled by the astronomical instrument to which the 24.5in telescope was center in the middle of the room. Reminiscing back to when I was walking home at night, I remember of seeing an unusual star unlike any other. I slid over to the telescope and embark to look at the constellations but I notice that one of the stars west of Orion’s Belt started to slowly moves towards our planet. As I started to zoom in to what I thought to believe was a star was in fact an enormous asteroid. In all honesty my legs began to shake and my lips began to quiver, but I knew that the task at hand was no child’s play. I immediately began to calculate the amount of time we had left before the asteroid collides with earth and came to the conclusion that
