Drag Racing Research Paper
NHRA is the world’s leading legal drag race. This racing organization was founded by a man by the name Wally Parks back in 1951 in order to eradicate dangerous drivers from the roads and in the process it evolved to be a major entertainment scene. The fans get an opportunity to meet with the drivers, have a chat with them and get access to the machines and their modifications. The NHRA is held twice a year in Las Vegas that is during the spring and Nevada Day weekend. Children who are under the age of 12 are allowed in free. It goes on for two days; which includes qualifying stage on Saturday an elimination stage on Sunday. Currently NHRA is composed of 120 member tracks all over the country, 70,000 members and 40,000 licensed participants.

Ideally, the love of car drag racing is a culture that the American people have loved over the years and appreciated in the current years. It is evident that the growth of NHRA is continuing every single day and the positive effects of this development are clearly evident. This sport has played a great role in educating the society on different topics: promoting human health and providing a platform of communicating about sensitive issues without fear enabling people to live healthy lives. In addition to this, NHRA has contributed enormously to the economy of the States through payment of taxes ensuring that the government is able to consistently pay for the provision of essential services such as health and education to the citizens (IEG, 1990). NHRA has had sponsors from different locations of the world helping the sporting activity to conduct its operations and arrange for all the necessary activities in an efficient and effective manner. From the above discussion, it is clear that NHRA is a vital sporting activity not only to the American people but to the entire world. The safety measures associated with NHRA drag racing are seconded to none and are of high measures. Drivers are not allowed to enter in the competition arena without safety measures.
