In summary, the video presents the history of drag-racing years. It provides an understanding of the chronology of events that lead to the development of drag racing today. To start with, the video presents voices of veterans in drag racing that bring a better understanding of how far it has come. The chronology is from simple, fast racing vehicles to more sophisticated ones that are used today. The video to the best of my understanding brings forth several aspects of drag racing particularly in relation to its history. These aspects determine the shape the industry has taken over the years. Of all the aspects, technology plays out to be vital. As illustrated in the video, the cars used at the beginning were not as sophisticated as the ones …show more content…
In essence, it means that the United States of America, during the Second World War, made huge leaps in technological advancement. Military technology helped industries develop the better engine, and so this flowed down to the automobile industry. The video, in this case, plays the development importance of the Second World War. From that, the video explains how the automobile industry in the US possesses what it has today in terms of technology. The video, therefore, besides drag racing, brings forth other aspects of development and how over the years people have been able to improve on technology that they acquired during the Second World War. The last aspect of drag racing that comes out of the video is its general significance to people. It has made a significant contribution to the economy and the society. The narrations in the video passionately talk about various developments over time; these developments came with jobs and careers were built from them; therefore, giving people sources of income. An example is the expansion of the automobile industry over the years employing thousands of Americans and not to forget; there are drag race superstars that hold competitions, which is also a source of income and
