Dramatic Play
Dramatic Play * A variety of materials will be provided to the pupils depending on what particular community helper to they want to act out.
E.g. Firemen puts out the fire with the use of the big hose. They use their strong arms in carrying the big hose filled with water from the firemen truck.
Action Songs: Father Abraham * The teacher will present an action song entitled, Father Abraham. The teacher will introduce the actions and the pupils will imitate.
Father Abraham has many sons, many sons has father Abraham, I am one of them and so are you so let’s go praise the Lord: (Right Arm, Left Arm, Right Foot, Left Foot, Turn around, Sit-down)
Dramatizing Movements * The teacher will ask the pupils to dramatize the following: * Hop around the room like a rabbit * Pretend you are a tree and the wind is blowing you around * Pretend that you are a jack-in-a-box. * Move as if you are carrying something really heavy.
Bean Game * The leader/teacher suggests movements for the other children to follow: * Put the bean bag on your head and walk around the room without letting it fall. * Put the bean bag on your arm, on your shoulder, on your elbow, your foot. * Sit down on the bean bag. Toss it and catch it on the air with both hands.

Dancing with the Mirrors * The pupils will be brought to the studio (if ever the school has one) then, the leader/teacher will present a series of movements. The children will then imitate them while looking at their own reflection. * Raise your arms- higher! Up! Down! * Jog on your place.
Outside Activities “Playing Catch” * The pupils will be paired with one another. They will be providing with a ball. They will play catch with each other. * Develops their arms and legs
“Follow-the-leader”
* The leader/teacher will jump, hop, crawl, roll or etc. and the pupils will imitate. * Develops their arms and legs
Walking Through the Lines” * The pupils will walk

    After outlining the learning outcomes the lesson starts with a ‘Find someone who’ ice breaker. This allows me to assess the learners, it’s a group work exercise to employ inclusive learning from the start and it creates a sociable, personable and safe learning environment for the session whilst incorporating functional skills.
