When I am getting dressed in the morning I must feed a belt through every single loop on my pants. Performing this task takes much time and usually makes me late for the bus. I find that wearing my shirt tucked all the way in my khaki pants with a tight belt is very uncomfortable especially when sitting long periods of time in classrooms and walking from class to class. On rare occasions they give us the opportunity for a “dress down day”. I cannot understand why the school officials call it a “dress down day” if we, the people, do not get to express ourselves with our chosen fashions appropriately. I do not understand this rule! Most of the girls in the school wear khakis that are skin tight and a nude color, which appear very inappropriate. Many leggings can give the impression of being more proper too. I also do not comprehend why pink pants are not to be worn as an official part of the uniform; while various shades of blue are acceptable. I have seen students wear the brightest blue pants that cause distractions to the learning environment, yet light pink pants will send a student to the office for disciplinary action.
