something. I usually forget my fishing pole and my tackle box. The ride there is always interesting on the way up Mankato. We usually leave early in the morning like around 6 or a little bit before 7. I love looking out of the window with the beautiful sunset behind the growing corn or the bean field. Seeing the fog rising up for the ground is just a wonderful sight. Getting on the highway ruins a lot of the amazing sights, just seeing cars and big cities is not the best seeing or hearing around. All you hear is the radio and passing cars going by. Seeing people come out of stores with the parking lot lights. I would rather see fields or woods out the window more. Now getting close to the cabin is a great feeling, seeing the nearby lakes and boats on the lake is just a terrific view. Seeing the sun shining off the lake is like seeing heaven. Seeing the birds snatching up a fish is a amazing sight; you usually don’t always get to see that. Now pulling in the cabin driveway is probably the best feeling, it feels like that I’m in a whole new world. Seeing friends and family just brings a joy in your eyes. Then seeing the beautiful lake with the waves crashing onto the shore from boats driving by, it just brings a amazing sound to your ears. Everyone there is so nice and caring, all saying hello and asking you want food. Which asking me if I want food will always be a yes, it’s a like a key to my heart. Especially warm sizzling bacon with eggs, sausage, and buttered toast. I love making the best sandwhich with all of those, hearing the crunch from for the toast, having the yolk breaking gives everything more flavor. After eating and meeting the people, I start to go on the jet ski. Getting the jet ski off the jet ski doc is awful. Having to untie someone awful bet yet good knot. After getting it off is the best thing ever, driving the jet ski feels like I’m driving a snowmobile, but on water obviously. Doing donuts, hitting waves like jumps, and falling off the jet ski is the best. Falling off is sorta scary for a moment, but when I realize that I am completely fine is a amazing feeling. Your heart is beating for a while afterwards. The thrill after words is the best feeling, it’s like a friday night football game.
After getting off the jet ski people want to go tubing.
Tubing is one of my favorite things to do. The thrill you get back there is unreal. Knowing if you fall off it’s most likely gonna hurt a little bit, but all that depends on how fast the driver is going. The best time was also the worse time, it was when my older brother Logan was driving. It was going 25 miles per hour around turns which back there feels like 125 miles per hour. I was immediately knock off and rolled on top of the water for a good 15 yards. That happen for roughly 15 minutes in a row, which absolutely sucked. Then I got a turn to whack him off. I gave him the hammer and went around 30 around turns, which I couldn’t believe what it feels like back there. The first time he rolled for like 20 yards on top of the water doing barrel rolls like no other. That went on for 5 minutes, Logan said “That he would never do that again going that fast”.
After all the tubing we did, I usually go fishing on the kayak. Now fishing on the kayak is really fun, but really tiring, I hate going up the current and dealing with all the waves. Fishing really beats all of the kayaking part. Reeling in the big fish is always brings me a big ole smile. Fishing at the cabin has always been tough for me, I mostly don’t catch a bass and when I do it’s definitely not huge. But still reeling in a fish gets you
going.
After a awful day of fishing we chill around the campfire and eat our dinner, which is always amazing. Sitting around the fire talking about everything basically and listening to the fireworks feels like another part of heaven. It’s not always you get to do this so I take advantage as much as I can. Knowing that I am only up there for a couple of days kinda sucks. But, having all the fun that is up there is all worth it. Nothing usually goes wrong while I am up there. It's a great vacation that I wish everyone can have. Knowing that it all comes to an end at a point you just can’t wait for the next time I am up there to repeat the same process everyday.
