PART ONE:
The report was on a 21 year old Minnesota girl, who is addicted to heroin. She was a freshman in college and was introduced to this drug by thinking what she thought she was taking hits off of hash which is another form of marijuanna. She was hooked after using only a few time. now everyday she goes up to three times a day to get her heroin in minneapolis. she does at least a hundred hits a day. She never eats, as you can see in the video she is wearing old jeans that still do not fit her. It surprises me how little the affects last after long time use. Ashley only gets high for about fifteen mins. the other guy only gets the rush for fifteen seconds. All that money, time, and waiting for almost nothing. Ashley spends a thousand dollars a week on her addictoin. I honestly think its ridiculous how many times she goes to get it, how many times a day she risks everything just for that few min high. Shes a very pretty girl with so much potential and shes just knowingly wasting it all away. Not to mention her parents are helping her with her addiction weather they know it or not. she lies to them just to support her habit. it surprises me just how close we are to these kind of drug addicts. Just out of the blue you try a drug and it could kill you and your lifestyle in a matter of one hit. I would never try heroin. i smoke ciggarettes and they say thats just as hard to quit as it is to quit heroin. I know a few people who have done these types of drugs, always been pressured into trying them but i never did. that's one drug that will forever be embedded in my brain to just say effing no.
PART TWO:
The rise in heroin use in minnesota is ridiculous. 82% since 2010! heroin now a days is a lot easier, cheaper, and stronger than any other drug out there to buy. That explains why so many are using it. the Southwest Hennepin Drug Task Force conducted, its largest heroin seizure of 2012, confiscating 1,300 grams of heroin.
