THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
The Enrollment System for a college which will provide the needed and storing information in a faster, more convenient way by storing file of the student enrollees in a computer system that will lessen the effort of faculty staff in storing files of each student every now and then. An enrollment system also serves as information especially for the irregular students, freshmen, transferee, and professor in able to get access in course, subject, professor, and student enrollees, but is designed for use by staff and other authorized user in the college office to enable them to easily produce information required by the different people in college.
This advance technology has been the range or scope of something to influence the society’s modernization. We are therefore enhancing the development of our society through the use of computer. It is also made by computer-based system to lessen the work of the employees in organization.Nowadays, computer based system is commonly used by every company and institution and one of this is Computerized Enrollment System. Computerized Enrollment System serves as a vital part of a school for easy and convenient way of enrolling a student.
In Bina Nusantara International University. The student enrollment system is become more and more complex. Student has more streams/minor to choose, and more elective course to choose. Some batches also hve different type of study plan from the other. This situation leads the enrollment system problem, especially when student do their manual enrollment instead of online enrollment. So far, faculty member should check the databasemanually and do manual comparison between studies plan table, student’s course history table, and also student proposed course. As we know, it is really complicated to do manual comparison between two or more table especially if the table contains more than 10 fields. It also could allow more possibilities of
