Vincent’s dream is to become part of the science organization and fly into space, but because of the inequity and injust judgment towards humans that are not genetically manipulated, he is forced to do the unthinkable and resort to the only possibility- by stealing the identity of Jerome. The valids (upper class) are people who have been genetically altered and are able to exceed with better job opportunities, less stress and have superior chances of excelling in life. While the invalids (lower class), are those who have been born naturally making them unaccepted into certain places and barred from opportunities that the genetically manipulated get offered.
