Dwight’s family is a large, very traditional german family of farmers and soldiers. Within his family they teach their children a set of rules to live by, almost like a code of honor. In one episode, “he tells us that there are 40 rules all Schrute boys must learn by the age of five. --"Learn your rules, you better learn your rules, if you don't you'll be eaten in your sleep". Rule 17- "Don't turn your back on bears, men you have wronged, or the dominant turkey during mating season."”(“Dwight Schrute”).Overall, there is not a lot of information revealed about Dwight’s extended and immediate family. Though, it was revealed in a much later season that he has both a brother and a sister who do not live on the family farm with him. Dwight does live with his cousin Moes on the family beet farm and they run it and a scraggly bed and breakfast
