Early Marriage
INTRODUCTION
Early marriage is one of the most controversial topics nowadays, that 's basically the main reason we decided to choose this topic. personally we are very passionate about this topic for many different reason but mostly importantly is because in our Muslim/Arab society early marriage is something very common. which we find is something not very common in the rest of the world. the aim of this assignment is to show the different point of views regarding early marriage and why some people agree with it and others don 't. also we want to show why is this topic so sensitive and controversial in our society. we will be discussing the reasons behind early marriage and why people agree and disagree with it and that will be based on a survey we conducted with few people from different age groups and categories. the only difficultly we faced is that people were a bit hesitant to talk about their point of views face to face so that 's why we chose the questionnaire method rather than the interview.

Definition of early marriage: early marriage is the practice of marriage for girls and boys at an early age. it is more common in Arabic societies and poor countries . There are also areas in West Africa, East and South Asia where the marriages long before adulthood is not surprising.
It is difficult to identify the number of early marriages, since many of them unregistered and informal. There are exceptions, such as Bangladesh, where A survey conducted in 1996 - 1997 that five percent of those aged 10 to 14 years married.
The survey, which was found in 1998 in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India, that about 14 percent of girls married at the age between 10 and 14 years.
In Ethiopia and in parts of West Africa, marriage at the age of seven or eight is not uncommon.
In our Arab Muslim society early marriage is very common especially among the earlier generations but this phenomenon has diminished a bit because of education.

Noble families may arrange marriage much earlier. Robert Dudley's sister Katherine, who became the countess of Huntingdon, did go to the altar at age 7, but that was extraordinary. In non-noble families, the most common age for marriage is 25-26 for men, about 23 for women. This is because it's best to wait until you can afford a home and children. Also, most apprenticeships don't end until the mid 20s.…
