These tickets will produce revenue for the school.
Ticket revenue is a major source of revenue for any venue, with FAU having so many seat and luxury suites the school will be able to use this money toward paying for the stadium being built. Economically the impact of this new stadium we look at the opportunity cost the school is giving up a great amount of money to better the school, the students and staff, and the community. “The state department of tourism has estimated that the economic impact for a crowd 20,000 people at the stadium would be $1.7 million for the area (D'Angelo 2010).”
This amount of money is per event that is held at the stadium, the stadium is able to hold more events than just the schools football and other sports games there. This economic impact of just the stadium is very positive for FAU and the community. “"It goes well beyond football. A stadium is an economic driver, not just for game day. It enhances the university, and a thriving university is an asset to the city it is in. This is huge for Boca Raton," said Grossman, a commercial real estate broker and developer who lives in Boca Raton (Hutton
2011).”
The impact of this stadium goes beyond what people might have originally thought when FAU announced building an on-campus stadium. The stadium is not just affecting FAU but also the community. The FAU stadium has impacted the schools spirit, with the stadium it has caused for the school to get more applicants to apply now, it is said that the enrollment of students since the stadium has almost doubled compared to years before when there was no stadium. Not only is this stadium affecting the student life but it is also having its own affect on the football program, the stadium makes our football proud to be playing for the team and makes more high school player want to come and play. It is said that with this boost in the program it is highly possibly for our school to move up in the ranks in college football and to eventually be on the same level as Florida State, Miami, and Florida. Moreover, the FAU new football stadium has an amazing impact on not only the school but also the community. The stadium has a mainly impacted the school and community financially, economically, and with the schools spirit. “An on-campus stadium not only should mean more excitement, but more traditions. (D'Angelo 2011)” FAU finally having their own stadium is positive in basically everyway for everyone.
