In this report I will discuss and evaluate the economic system of Ukraine and attempt to address how Ukraine’s economic system affects its industries and people. Ukraine is located in eastern Europe, bordering the black sea between, Russia, Poland, Romania, and Moldava.
Intro
The economic system of Ukraine continues to change. In recent years, types and quantity of major goods and services have greatly increased. Ukraine, at a population of 46.6 million people, is one of Europe’s largest countries. Ukraine is an urban country with a rural population. In this report I will discuss and evaluate the economic system of Ukraine and attempt to address how Ukraine’s economic system affects its industries and people. Ukraine is located in Eastern Europe, bordering the black sea between, Russia, Poland, Romania, and Moldava.
Natural Resources and Industries
Ukraine has an incredibly abundant amount of mineral resources. Rich iron ore, titanium ore, bauxite and coal are among the top natural resources in Ukraine. This forms a large iron-and-steel industry. It ranks among the top steel producers in the world. Its coalmines are among the deepest in Europe, and are highly dangerous because they are so deep. So deep, that there are increased levels of methane; methane related explosions have led to several deaths of Ukrainian miners.
Manufacturing is an extremely important sector of the Ukrainian economy. This is because it generates such large profits and can be done at such high productivity rates. Metals, transportation equipment and other types of heavy machinery are main products manufactured in Ukraine. Ukraine’s rich farmland also means for a strong agricultural industry.
