Delegation From Represented by the
Ecuador **** ******** of ********** As the representatives of Ecuador, we feel as though the voices of our countrymen should be heard. We understand that we all need education to get the best jobs and the best opportunities possible. We allow women the same opportunity as men to obtain an education in our school systems. We feel that education is a big part of everyday life. Even though 36% of our country is under the poverty line, 91% of all people over the age of 15 are literate and think that all women and children should have a right to learn if they wish.

Ecuador’s Idea to Help Solve the Education Problem

Few women and children get the chance to go to school in Africa. The ones who do manage to go to school get a subpar education in overcrowded school rooms from teachers who are barely literate themselves. As the delegation of Ecuador, we feel as though the United Nations needs to set up schools and start a rigorous educational process. If we can raise enough money from all the countries, we can then dedicate it to building schools and hiring teachers to educate women and children in Africa.
Becoming educated is the first step to becoming a united and thriving continent. The reason that most African countries are third-world developing countries is because they are not educated in the ways necessary to become a skilled worker in a money-based society. With little or no education, families cannot buy necessities for survival, which can lead to anarchy.

Difficulties with Ecuador’s Solution to Africa’s Education Problem

There are a few problems with our plan and our main problem is money. Our plan requires quite a lot of money to build to schools themselves, for the teachers, and for the workers to maintain the building.

    1. Genesis - For this book, I believe that Kingsolver chose to name it ‘Genesis’ because it foreshadows what is going to happen in this section of the novel. In Genesis, this is where God creates this new world. Essentially, this is what the Price family is doing on their expedition in Africa. They’re doing this by bringing all these modern things, and opening their eyes to thing that they’ve never noticed before, for example, when Mr. Price explained how nudity was a bad thing; “But Father skipped over all that and went straight to the dire consequences: ‘The emissaries of the Lord smote the sinners, who had come heedless to the sight of God, heedless in their nakedness.’” (37). Also, in Genesis, God warns Adam and Eve to not eat from the tree, however they ignore his word and do so anyways, which ended in severely bad consequences. The same thing happens to Reverend Price, for when Mama Tataba warned him that the Poisonwood Tree would “bite,” he ignored it, and the next day his arms and hands were covered in a painful rash, and his eye was swollen shut as well. “‘That one, brother, he bite,’ she said, pointing her knuckly hand at a small tree he was wresting from his garden plot. … My father woke up the next morning with a horrible rash on his hands and arms… Even his good right eye was swollen shut,…” (39-40).…

The poem Father and Child written by Gwen Harwood involves a devilish young girl misusing her father’s gun without permission to shoot an owl. The poem starts off with the time of day “Daybreak” and “the household slept”. This tells the audience the start of the poem took place at dawn. “A horny fiend, I crept out with my father’s gun.” A horny fiend states that the poet feels somewhat evil and devilish.…

Courage can be defined in many different ways. Courage, according to Atticus, is showing no fear to the people or obstacles that stand in your path. An example of emotional courage is when Atticus shoots Tim Johnson. In my opinion, it takes a strong man to be able to shoot a dog. An example of physical courage is when Jem slices the tops off of every camellia bush in Ms. Duboses' garden. In my opinion, it takes a lot of courage to be able to stand in a ladies yard (who is rumored to have a CSA pistol) and simply slice away at her prize posessions. It is stated that "Jem did not begin to calm down until he had cut the tops off every camellia bush Mrs. Dubose owned." (Lee 137) This shows that Jem was slicing away at the bushes, showing no fear.…

In Everything by Murs, he constantly makes references and alludes to the Bible. He does this by stating things that most people know about the story of Jesus Christ and the Bible’s basic teachings. “I take everything, Your hopes and your dreams and your hate and your lies, Oooh oooh oooh, in this life, I'll join everyone, From the old and the wise to the young, stay fly, When I die,” sings Murs. I believe that when he says this, he is talking about how God sent down his own son Jesus and how he died for our sins by sacrificing himself on the cross. Another example of him making an allusion to the Bible and or Torah is when he says,”God is love, Then hatin' is Satan.” He is saying that God is love, or good, and hatin’ is Satin, or Satin is bad; But as far as poetic devices go, he does not only use allusion, he also uses a lot of colloquialism such as, “sittin'…waitin'…smilin'.” This could have been caused by multiple things considering he grew up in the streets of San Fransisco and did not get much of a formal education other than rarely being home schooled. All in all Murs in not only a rapper when it comes to his music, he is a poet, and unlike most, his songs have meaning and do not just talk about getting money and doing drugs like most modern rappers who make the genre of rap frowned upon by so…

My grandma opinion of education is evident in many place in Africa is accepted as the norm. This mentality of Africa seeing education as privilege bestow on Europeans has held us back for years. I believe this why the West has exploited due to the mentality we have given ourselves that we are inferior to the European is untrue and highly inaccurate. “Education is not a way to escape poverty, it is a way of fighting it”- Julius Nyerere once said. This not financial poverty but poverty of the knowledge and…

Two thirds of the world's uneducated and illiterate young individuals are girls (“The Challenge”). This fact should be unacceptable for our world. Educating young girls gives not only them a chance to succeed, and prosper, it gives them a voice. In countries around the world, it is believed that women are to take care of the home and mother their children instead of making a living outside of the household. Being educated allows for a chance to achieve a healthy lifestyle for an entire family. Not only can the education of the female population around the world benefit their countries economically, it can ensure the health and well-being of the younger generations, as well as lower the infant mortality rate significantly.…

The post-modern ideals held by the protagonists Charles and Sarah in The French Lieutenant’s Woman, are displayed in Chapter 22 of the novel. The author, John Fowles develops unconventional characters in their context of the Victorian era. The author seemingly asserts his opinion on Charles’ actions objectively but a deeper plunge into the chapter highlights views held by the author that are contrary to his existentialist argument presented later in the novel with the eventual three endings. Overall, Fowles ends up intruding on the text in order to advocate a post-modern theme, showing unreliable narration.…

Calisthenics is very important when working out and training. When someone does body weight exercises, for one, it helps to get the proper and correct form down. Proper form is the most important thing when doing any exercise whatsoever. If an individual is in the gym and doing everything the wrong way, nothing is going to be beneficial. Doing the correct form will help someone lift more effectively and it will prevent the risk of injury or hurting/tearing any ligaments or joints. If there are two people in the gym, and one is lifting very heavy but doing it wrong because of his/her form and everything, and the other does not have so much weight but is lifting it the correct way and really contracting his/her muscles, the one doing it the right way will get the more benefit outcome. Doing calisthenics can be just as effective as weight training. If someone has the correct mind set when they enter the gym, the workout is going to be effective and worth it and he/she is really going to get the benefit of the doubt. If someone does not go into the gym with the right mind set and are not ready to go when they walk in, then most likely that person will be lazy and not work as hard and will not get the best outcome that he/she could 've had if he/she were to really work as hard as possible. Protein is a must, every single day, throughout all of your meals and supplements. Having a daily and balanced diet is also important. It can help a person to get the look that he/she wants if he/she is really working hard and is trying to reach a specific goal. An individual wants to make sure that he/she is eating right, not just because he/she is working out, but most importantly to stay healthy. Along with calisthenics being important, so is having the right mind, getting protein into your body, and…

Education is essential to the improvement of our society for future generations to thrive and create new innovations. In order to accomplish these goals though, we must look at what it takes to ensure we are a developing a strong education system worldwide. A strong education system means we need to increase the access to education as well as increase enrollment rates not only in the U.S. but worldwide. Some goals the worldwide education committee has to hit by 2030 are to: ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education; ensure that all youth, achieve literacy and numeracy; and build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, nonviolent,…
