The quest of which is better the book or the movie version depends on the mindset of the viewer/reader in this video it will be argued that the movie version of ricky-ticki-tavi is better than the book a comparison will be made of the setting and character are developed in the book and film firstly it is necessary to compare the plot of the book and the film version the plot in the movie version of ricki-ticki-taviis is a fast moving and creates a lot of excitement and intense the early scene in the film focus on developing the major characters such as teddy and nag. There are stiring scenes of the bungolo as nag trys to attack teddy and ricki ticki kills him we are exposed to thrill and exitment of the fight theses sense are very bloody and action packed and adventurist. The clilimax is thrilling and comes when ricki ticki attacks Nag. The plot in the in the book version is more descriptive and drawn out than the movie version the reader is frovided a lot of information about history of the mongoose. The early chapters focus on developing the major characters and describing the mongose. It is not until halfway through the novel that the fist snake is enconted the book goes into great detail about the family and ricki ticki. The setting and characters are developed in an entertaining and humorous way regarding in the film version ricki-ticki-tavi the settings there are many shots of the bungolo, garden, jungle. This builds anticipation of the snake hunt to come the snake killing scenes are action packed and very tensese much use is made of the dramatic soundtrack as the snake goes in the hole and ricki-ticki-tavi are presented in a colourful, humorous way. Ricki-ticki-tavi is a playful mongoose who always looks after his family, nangina is a dangerous and snaeky character who wants to kill ricki

Rikki-Tikki-Tavi: Movie differs from the book in minute ways. Rikki found out that Nag and Nagina were planning on murdering the family. They had planned Nag to stay by the pot and wait for Teddy’s father in the morning, but that was not on his agenda. Rikki crept along, waiting to…

It gave a breathtaking picture of the story. With an edge of your seat beginning, the video showed Rikki-Tikki being swept away by a flood. A family saves him. The two cobras, Nag and Nagaina, want to take over the garden. They plan to kill the family, and then force Rikki-Tikki to leave. This is the same problem in the other medium. Unlike the book, the movie shows the cobras having a short conversation about their plan to kill the family. After the conversation, Nag goes into the bathroom and waits. Though Nag is still awake, Rikki-Tikki leaps on top of him and tries to kill him. He is thrown around, again, but still kills Nag. The father came in with a big gun and shot Nag. Now that Nag is dead, Nagaina must kill the family herself. Rikki-Tikki stops her by killing her eggs, and taunting her with the last one. Nagaina slithers to her hole, and Rikki-Tikki is close behind. Once they both were in the hole, Rikki-Tikki kills Nagaina. This scene is very overwhelming because of the background music and image. The movie of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi has a very similar, but lively, problem, climax, and…

The book and the movie for Rikki-Tikki-Tavi are very similar and different when it comes to conflict. An example of this would be when in the book, when Nagaina is about to strike, but Darzee the tailor bird warns Rikki-Tikki about Nagaina’s blow for behind. However, in the movie, Darzee’s wife warns Rikki-Tikki about the fate that he could have had. Another reason why the character would be different is because in the book, Nag knows that Rikki-Tikki being in the garden means faster death for his family and him. In the movie, Nagaina knows that Rikki-Tikki being in the garden means faster death for her…

The Mongoose was fed raw meat in the movie unlike the book, the mongoose being fed a banana. The description was a bit broad in the movie. The description of the setting, plot, objects, and other items were very plain. Unlike the story which involved highly detailed items in the story. At the beginning of the video the setting was broad also. During the snake attack the author described how the snake was shot dead by the father. The video shows the mongoose hiding. After he was ready he jumped and attacked the snake until it dies a few minutes after the fight. The video had a very different way of the story than the written version of Rikki Tikki Tavi.…

The book and the movie have similar plot lines and settings. The book’s plot line is as follows: Rikki-Tikki was discovered by the family, taken in and fed, fought and met Nag and Nagaina, killed Nag, smashed all the eggs but one, and killed Nagaina and the remaining egg (Kipling). The book’s plot is very similar, without a single difference in the major plot line. The setting in the book is “the big bungalow in Segowlee cantonment”…

Belonging is significant to everyone because it makes us who we are and it gives a certain connection towards places and people. In the two poems ‘Migrant Hostel’ and ‘St Patrick’s College’ by Peter Skrzynecki not belonging is explored which leads to the individual not expanding or deepening their understanding of themselves and the world. In the short film ‘Missing Her’ by Michael Weisler, the individual starts with themselves not belonging and by the end, they begin to find a sense of belonging which develops their understanding of themselves and their world.…

One thing that can have a difference is the characters from both the book and the movie. In the beginning of the book Teddy’s mother took Rikki-tikki inside the house after the monsoon. Where-as in the movie Teddy’s father took Rikki-tikki inside the house. “Here’s a dead mongoose. Let’s have a funeral.” “No”, said his mother; “let’s take him in and dry him. Perhaps he isn’t really dead.” (Rikki-tikki-tavi) These were two different characters doing different things in the book and the movie. A similarity is in the book and the movie the mother didn’t want Rikki to sleep with Teddy in fear that he might bite him. This is the same thing the same character said in bothe the book and the movie. The characters were all…

I think that the text is better than the film, as the text has more nuts & bolts, along with a highlighted character personality shift. In contrast, the film takes away your required thought to imagine things (the fun part of reading stories) by spooning it to you, and is more homogenous and esoteric (simplistic &…
