Formal and informal education are really important in our lives because they make us stronger make us stronger and less ignorant.
According to the definition found in the Oxford dictionary, education is a process of teaching, training and learning, especially in schools or colleges, to improve knowledge and develop skills. But is this the only kind of education? We can find two kinds of education in our lives. The one we receive at school, college or university, in which we attend lessons and take exams. But we also learn through practical experience, with our families, partners and friends.
We call the first one formal education that is education provided by a recognized institution teaching courses, following a planned course of study. The term is used to distinguish it from informal education the kind we obtain through experience and general reading.
Formal education includes the open university (OU). In some cases there are people who for various reasons can not complete their studies at college, in such cases they attend this institutions to finish them.
