Closing Remarks: A pleasant evening to all of you ladies and gentleman. I am Aliah Mary L. Labigan, a 4th year highschool student and I am proudly to say that I am the president of School Body Organization or SBO school year 2013-2014. Highschool is such a weird time in our life. Sitting in our class it seems like time won’t hurry up but looking back the clock never lost its pace. We’ve been living in the fastlane, homework every other night, and tests every other week. Studying, preparing, organizing, being on time, and most of all just trying to get by. But tonight, we let the reigns go loose.

Proms or highschool social gathering gives students a chance to have fun in a more formal setting. They dress formal than usual and they have own partners but they are not couples. However, a prom can let students enjoy themselves in a way that the formality of a graduation does not. Of course there will be a lot of drama and issues with students surrounding this event especially when the couples are concerned, but this night is will be a great chance to enjoy with your friends.

It’s not what we do here today that’s important, but what we make of ourselves tomorrow. We will look back on this night with fond memories, some of us will be lucky enough to be with the same person and others will have found new lovers or interests. So when you leave here tonight don’t think of it as an ending, but a beginning of a new life.

Before this moment ends, I would like to give as a round of applause to our goal-driven principal, Dr. Remedios O. Moratin together with the members of the faculty and staff who given us chance to have a special event like this and who are always there for us. And also we would like to thank to Mr. Manolo Crescini & Mr. Alberto Layug for helping us to make the contillion perfect even were so noisy and naughty last practice. For the last time, you should always remember that this night is the most memorable in our

Learning is a natural ability that is wired into many animals DNA; the way that humans should learn has been debated by the various educators because of the endless ways to teach. Teachers and parents take this matter seriously like Ralph Waldo Emerson in “From Education” and Todd Gitlin in “The Liberal Arts in an Age of Info-Glut” who created essays on education; and Billy Collins in “The History Teacher” entail for then and who wrote a poem concerned with the status of education. These people show what the importance of education is entailing what learning should and should not involve; a teacher should respect and have patience for children; a teacher should also let a child have creativity and lessons of the past.…

Good evening friends, teachers, and families and welcome to our grade 8 graduation ceremony of 2010- 2011. You all must remember walking hand in hand with your parents on the first day of school and just like that I think you all will remember walking on your own across the stage today. Yet today is the day we have all been waiting for for ten years. Today is the day we graduate from elementary school and move on to high school. But don't forget that this isn't the end but it is a new beginning. We still have to conquer our dreams. Most of us have realized our dreams this year because this year was the year we found parts of our self and we started understanding ourselves better. And this year was the year where we made memories we will never forget. I will never forget all the horrible pranks we pulled off and all the rules we broke I won't recall any because I heard you can still get suspended on the last day of school.…

What is prom? Prom is short for promenade which is a French word. It is a formal black tie dance or event gathering high school students, preferably juniors and seniors. This gives them a chance to interact and socialize with other students, to dance with the person they dreamed of dancing with, to practice proper etiquette and of course to look like ladies and gentlemen. The event is usually held in a big space such as a hall, a ballroom, a banquet hall or any conventional areas. It is beautifully decorated with colored cloths, center pieces, back-drops, wall ornaments and so on, depending on the theme of the event. Not only is the place given the chance to look fantastic but also the students attending the prom. This event gives girls the chance to wear their dazzling gowns and cocktail dresses, and look absolutely stunning. Boys on the other hand, are given the chance to dress classy in there suits and look like real gentlemen. It can be one of the most memorable nights of a teenager’s life, and to get ready for it, there is a lot of organization, preparation and excitement.…

Today when I ponder, I wonder where those two years went.....They simply fleeted by happily on the sands of time and have ushered us to this day. For the second time in our lives, we face the enormous task of bidding adieu to our friends, our teachers, our peers and a part of our lives. Today, another chapter of our lives ends with advent of a shining new one beckoning us! It is, undeniably difficult to say to goodbye to what better way to do it than celebrate? Celebrate the fact that we, entering these walls as saplings and having been nurtured and cared for by our dear teachers, can now call ourselves young trees, ready to face the world and whatever comes with it. I take this opportunity to thank all our teachers and the administrative staff of this wonderful school for the guidance, love and care bestowed on us over these years. It has been a matter of pride to belong to this institution and we look forward to an unending association with the staff and school.…
