The Reason I Returned To School Hello! I am Betty and I am going to tell you why I decided to return to school. I always thought about it, but never took action. This way I can better my life and the people around me. There are three reasons why I returned to school. I returned because these days you need a degree or some sort to get a job, to better my education and pick up where I left off, and lastly because I had a very inspiring sister. These are my main reasons, but there are others, too.
To start off, I am attending college and I am really enjoying it so far. I started because I am trying to find a well-paying job so that I can take care of my family. I would not like to be that person looking for a good paying job and can’t get one because I don’t have the skills that are required for the job. Jobs are very picky about who they hire. They want well educated people to work for them. There are things in my life that I would like to accomplish, but if I don’t have a job then how can I. So this way I will be able to get any job I desire that relates to the course that I have completed.
In addition to wanting to be able to get a job, I have also returned to school to better my education. College helps to refresh my brain in some areas of my education that needs improvement. At first I thought it would feel kind of weird being in a class full of students younger than me, but there are students older than me attending, too. Then I came to realized, there was no reason to feel that way because at some time a lot of people are also trying to better their life. Education is the key in this world and people that have it are ahead in life and that’s what I’m trying to do, get ahead in life. I wanted to be able to provide a better life for my family. I want my kids to have more than I did growing up. Growing up my dad worked offshore until he got hurt
