Education means understanding the knowledge one has as well as the skills and material that one has learned from attending a school, college, or university. Education also means the act or process of teaching someone. Although both of these are important, if we did not have people that were more intelligent than one another, we would have no education. Throughout my life, many different educational influences have taught me skills to become successful.…
The three study strategies I have and will use during this course to increase my effectiveness are having a quiet place to study, reading for clarity, and taking notes while reading. I have found that studying in a quiet place helps me to concentrate better. Also, while studying in a quiet place I do not have to worry about any distraction which allows me to understand what I am reading because I am able to answer the questions I originally had while after I surveyed what I was about to read. Note taking is also a study strategy that helps me increase my effectiveness in this course because I am able to refer back to my notes before completing assignments.…

Talking about Winnicott's "I am moment", Dalal (2006) succinctly expresses when the infant gathers some elements together from the environment to form itself, it simultaneously repudiates other elements. I wonder whether only in doing so can one really find oneself, even though this involves the discrimination of the 'Other'. Leary (2006) states just as Winnicott believed there is no such thing as a baby, then perhaps there is no such thing as a black or a white (without the other), whenever they are talking about the Other, they are talking about themselves. Dalal (2012, p.97) states splitting is a kind of forgetting at a profound psychological level, that the divided are aspects of the same process are necessary to the existence of each…

In 1968, H.J. McCloskey wrote an article on atheism called “On Being an Atheist.” He states that there are three proofs which do seem to move ordinary theists to their theism to constitute major motivations towards a belief in God, namely the cosmological proof, the teleological proof, and the argument from design (McCloskey). In his article he states that these proofs are inadequate, and that atheism is much more comfortable than theism. He also says that most theists don’t come to the belief in God through as a reflection on the proofs, but they come to a belief in God through others reasons and factors. Through our faith as theists we believe God exists and that the existence of God is the best explanation for the effects we observe in the universe. Philosophers say that an argument is a set of statements or propositions, which are premises, which show that another statement, the conclusion, is true. Throughout this paper I will mention the premises and conclusions of each argument and explain why McCloskey is incorrect when trying to prove his arguments.…
