Education In The Haitian Culture
In the Haitian culture there are many of us who want to learn, yet some of us are unable to farther our education to the fullest. We were taught that church and education are the most two important things we need to make it in life. Personally education is important to me because I have the opportunity to pursue my education and that opportunity most of us don’t have. I attend to use the best of my abilities to invest this opportunity fully, with this on my mind I push myself to become an educated person with a degree so that I can have a career instead of a job.

Yet, we are facing lots of problems that are worse; for example some teachers are rushing students through their curriculum without taking the time to encourage, and help them to improve in their classes. Although teachers are doing their best to help us learn the government makes it harder by caring more about grades rather than what we actually have learned. Education is important because when you're educated people respect you, you are more likely to get a job, maintain the job, and grow for a better promotion.We all live in a society which has its own set spoken/unspoken rules and one of them is education. society expects you to go to school followed by college, get a job, settle down etc. In fact education helps you become a useful member of the society. An educated member certainly has a greater chance to contribute to his community. Education helps you become an active member of the society and participate in the ongoing changes and developments. Education is also a big part of society because one day collage will affordable to people in a urban city and people that want to keep their dreams going but can't pay it off. Education give you a lot of different chances in life to make money or to make it in the real world. With out education or book smart you wouldn't be able to make it in the real world.
