The idea of this bomb was floating in America for a while many people opposed the ideal but one man named Edward Teller supported it greatly. Edward Teller was a smart man born on January 15, 1908, in Budapest, Austria- Hungary. Edward decided to leave Hungary and go to Germany for an higher education, in Germany he attended the University of karlsruhe where he received a degree in chemical engineering, and then received his Ph.D. in physics at the University of Leipzig. In 1934 Teller left Germany through the sid of the Jewish Rescue committee. A year later in 1035 Teller was invited to become a Professor of Physics in the U.S at the George Washington University. Here he worked until 1941 where he became a theoretical physicist, here he got to work with quantum, molecular and nuclear physics. After Edward became a citizen of the U.S he started to get very interested in the use of nuclear energy, both fission and fusion. The hydrogen bomb creates a blast radius of 1.7 miles and also emits radiation that affects everyone around where the bomb hit.
