American consumption and advertisement
What is pop culture? According to the book Signs of Life in USA Pop culture is a shortening of the phrase “popular culture.” The book defined pop culture as a collection of thoughts, ideas, attitudes, perspectives, and images of how people preferred by the mainstream population and also pop culture changes within the youth of the world. In todays society, there are many effects of popular culture on American consumption and advertisements which consider the young people to purchase unnecessary materials to be seen as a higher social class while society pushes them to reinforce flexible ideas of what is valued.

They know they are not go get back the money they spend on by selling that product because the value of that product has drupe with the economy so they keep them for years without using and end up throwing away with out a use.
In today’s time, TV viewers get to see plenty of advertisements during breaks in between their favorite entertainment programs. This deviates their concentration, thereby reducing entertainment value of the programs they are watching. Another drawback attributed to advertising is that kids and youngsters fall prey to appealing advertising of fast food chains like Mac Donald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut etc. as they become attracted to unhealthy fast food, resulting in various kinds of health problems like obesity, juvenile diabetes etc. that leads to a major problem in America. Also, few people argue that some companies use obscene materials in their advertisements to attract views which pollutes viewers’ minds especially the mind of younger kids. Advertising and marketing not only makes people consume more, but it is also responsible for the consumption of luxuries while forsaking necessities.

In the advertising industry, they make the perfect figure of the women or man by using photoshop to get consumers attention because they know more skin they show the higher they have chance of selling their product. Adverting companies use young models age between 16-25 that affect visual text of perfect figure out everyday lives of young
