Of course technological progress makes us live faster and easier, we do not need to spend a lot of time on household duties, because we have special gadgets, which make this job much easier. For example, in the past there was no washing machine and people had to wash clothes by hands, but now we have it and women don’t have to sit in front of some lake or sea and do this job by hands. The same story is with dish washer and with other helpful gadgets.
At the same time, technological progress has also serious disadvantages. As I had already said, some people are addicted on technology. There are a lot of examples which can prove it. In my opinion, the most common example is mobile phone. It is some kind of miracle if you see a girl or a boy who is not holding his or her mobile phone in hands. People are starting to forget that the real world exists, they have only virtual one. Even if friends are walking together, they also continue to use their phones, no matter that your friend is near you and you can communicate with him in reality, not via some social network. Technology takes our free time. We prefer spend the evening in front of the computer rather than spend it with our family or friends.
I think, that addiction of technology is a real today’s problem. It is scared, that may be in future real friends will be replaced by computer and people will not have time to devote it to relationships. People shouldn’t forget that computer and other gadgets are just machines and they don’t have feelings, as people.

In the article In Defense of Technology wrote by the author Andrew O’Hagan believes the opposite. That technology has actually made a huge improvement in our lives. He argues that life would be much difficult without its use. We depend on technology at many times because it does many beneficial things for us and not even mentioning time saving. It benefits us in great ways like collecting information, socializing and much more, but we mostly we use it to save time. Tech has never been harmful to any human at any point in time O’Hagan quotes, “Technology is not doing what the sci-fi writers warned it might; it’s not turning us into digits or people that hate community, instead of the opposite.” It is helping our communities in ways like recycling, entertainment, safety and much more. When an individual can sit in their house relaxed and putting in an order on the internet that’s going to arrive at their house the next day, compared to the old days it’s a miracle how it improved this much. Killing loneliness and provincialism is something you can do…

For many years, men have been portrayed as powerful figures and women as powerless or weak. “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare, written in approximately 1595, demonstrates this dynamic. As one of the men in the play, Capulet is very powerful, while Juliet and Lady Capulet as women are powerless. Women’s rights were only introduced in the late 19th century and early 20th century, leaving women in the 16th century powerless and feeble to men. Accordingly, women are portrayed as powerless to men who are portrayed as powerful.…

Technology has shaped and defined human activity and it has made life easier but more dangerous. As Langdon Winner explains in his piece, Technological Somnambulism, technology is a neutral tool. It can be used in a positive or a negative way. As well, Modern technology can be dangerous in many different ways. As more technology becomes available to the public, more people rely on it. This could be a problem; for example when many people want to figure something out, they will probably just type the question into Google. Technology allows us to think less about certain things, which may be easier but it “dumbs us down”. This could be considered dangerous because we may rely on technology too much and we could become lazy with our everyday rituals. With that said, technology has also helped us improve medicine and science to help cure certain diseases. Without these improvements we wouldn’t be as strong as a community. There seems to always be positive and negative things that come with technology.…

In the twenty first century, evolution and constant use of technology have greatly impacted humans, and their ways to approaching media. Many people believe that technology has improved the quality of life of the people at a great depth, while others see it as a force that has escaped from human control. Modern technology such as Internet, may help people solve problems or gather information faster than an ordinary human being is capable of. At the same time, it can also destroy one’s social life and interactions with humans if proper balance is not maintained. While people’s thoughts regarding the two sides are intriguing, the question is, are the negative effects gradually outnumbering the positive ones? In the essay “Is Google Making Us Stupid” written by Nicholas Carr, and “The Multitasking Generation” by Claudia Wallis, we are presented with ways in which technology affects the daily lifestyle of human being. Even though both authors perceive some of the beneficial uses of modern technology, they ultimately pinpoint the negative effects of it to a large extent. While the bad effects remain constant between both authors, they introduce different aspects of ways humans are being affected – Carr, emphasizing on how technology (Internet in this case) has drastically changed the way humans acquire and present information, and Wallis, focusing on how technology (Media Multitasking) deteriorates social interactions among humans.…

During the Second World War the service had to be suspended though. By this time new forms of communications were on their way.…

It takes less time to proofread a written document ans also you do not need to open a dictionary to look for meanings of words. It is also used in military too, which is a complete change for air force etc. However, there are also some disadvantages of technology. Constantly using internet shrinks your capacity to think. The easy access to information has made students lazy in terms of their education since they are able to find and download information without researching. They also use computers for mathematical tables and calculations without actually solving the problems. When I look at the wired world I am living in, I am wondering how people used to live at the time when computers and the Internet were not invented. Now I see that computers are used in every aspect of life. They make our lives easier, but also makes us lazier than we used to be. I can reach anything via the Internet without going out of my home, but it makes me stay away from the social world. For instance, my mom recently started calling me on the phone to tell me something from the other room in the same house. Then I started doing to same thing to her, either calling or texting or IM…

Over the past few years, technology has been changing and developing rapidly. We can’t deny the fact that technology has improved and changed our lives. Through technology, it’s easier for people to communicate with others, faster business transactions, book flights, buy things online in a single click, play games, take pictures, be updated on what’s happening and many more. Almost every one of us gets benefits because of technology. Technology has really improved our lives but not always in a good way. When we talk about the impact of technology in our lives, we only think of the positive effects of technology and ignore the fact that it can lead us to Internet addiction and makes us excessively dependent on it. This is very applicable and common among students nowadays. It is the copy and paste technique, which can result into plagiarism. When given paperwork, students rely on technology so much and they just gather information in just a few clicks away and then pass it without making an effort on it. One can cherish accomplishment and success only if it comes after effort. You can get a high grade but you don’t deserve it. Instead of students will learn and understand things, they became lazy because everything is there and provided already. Another situation is due to technology specifically gadgets or cameras, students don’t take down notes now because they can just take a picture of it. Teenagers are very addicted to computer games like dota that they forgot their studies and priorities, which can result into failing or low grades. Children indulge themselves in Internet, games, texting and others. Because of that, they easily get frustrated when asked to do something that can stop them from using it. Youngsters are missing on the joys of real social…
