Egypt Vs Mesopotamia

Mesopotamia is located in the middle east along the banks of Tigris and Euphrates rivers, while Egypt is located in North/East Africa with the Nile running through it. Both civilizations are different in multiple ways and similar as well. For example, one similarity between Mesopotamian and Egyptian government is that they both relied heavily on the rivers for survival. Both were also very religious however, Egypt portrayed their religion more through their artwork. Mesopotamia was created around 4000 B.C and introduced writing as a type of formal code. They were innovative of a more complex society, by creating inventions in farming, irrigation, pottery and bronze and copper. Mesopotamia, unfortunately, was different in the way that they were
constantly fighting off invasions due to their beliefs, location and political structure. Egypt on the other hand, Arose 1000 years after Mesopotamia due to the influence of trade and technological advancements. Egypt' government was quite different than the Mesopotamians because it was implemented by a Pharoh who was seen as a god. This lead to the buildings of pyramids, tombs, and God like statues to be built. The Egyptians also believed in the divine rule and were seen necessary due to their agricultural complexity along the Nile river, this resulted in slave labor.
