Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). In Indian subcontinents, the system of making medicines with the historical roots is called Ayurveda. Globalized and modernized practices derived from Ayurveda traditions are a type of complementary or alternative medicine.
