My science teaching methodology reflects that belief. It is very important to me to focus on relationship based teaching. I want my students to feel relaxed being themselves. I want them to be comfortable exploring and engaging when learning science. I have found that learning cannot really take place until a student feels safe and cared for. When teaching science there are sensitive subjects and concepts that are challenging to comprehend. Building a strong foundational relationship with my students will help them to feel comfortable and develop a trusting connection with me, allowing more learning to occur. My empathetic nature and desire to help all my students will help me to form these strong and lasting relationships. The students will see the effort I put in for them and will reciprocate that with hard work of their own.
